What is Geocaching? Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capabilities of a GPS unit. Grande Prairie Regional Tourism is participating in the formation of GPS Tours and rewards for finding the points of interest.

The Deh Cho Travel Connection links the Mackenzie, Liard and Alaska Highways through three different regions: Northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Northern British Columbia. If you begin your journey on the Deh Cho Connection in Alberta, you’ll be driving two-lane, paved Highway 35 through the famous Peace River Country. It’s a territory with rich Aboriginal, fur-trading and pioneer history. At the Liard Highway junction you can leave the Mackenzie Highway and join Highway 7, second link in the Deh Cho Travel Connections. The BC link in the Deh Cho Travel Connection, takes you on the first 300 miles of the world-famous Alaska Highway. You can also take side trips from the Deh Cho Travel Connection to Grande Cache, Peace River, La Crete and Fort Vermillion, all in Alberta. Also Hay River and Fort Smith in the Northwest Territories. Muncho Lake and Liard River Hot Springs and Tumbler Ridge in Britsh Columbia. You can also visit the Wood Buffalo National Park on the way.
