Celebrating Canada’s 150th Birthday with full facility access for only $1.50!

Facility Canada Day Hours: 7 a.m. to Noon

9 a.m: Canada Day 5k or 10k Fun Run
$20 per person or $50 for families

Join everyone at the Eastlink Centre on Friday, July 1 for a Canada Day Fun Run. Run 5k or 10k with us and hitch a ride to the Canada Day Parade on a shuttle provided by the Eastlink Centre. Leave your vehicle at the Eastlink Centre and take advantage of this free service and avoid struggling to find parking! Half of the day’s proceeds will go to support the Grande Prairie and District SPCA.

The Canada Day Parade is on July 1st from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Where can I see the Parade?

Route Overview

Starts at 94th Street and 108th Ave. (near Grande Prairie Community Centre) Turns left off 108th Ave. onto 96th Canada Day

Flag Street (past Winks Mountview Grocery store, turning at the lights)

Turns right off 96th Street onto 100th Ave. (turning down to main street)

Stays on 100th Ave and ends at the GPRC Parking Lot A

What can I do after the Parade?

Canada Day celebrations continue at Muskoseepi Park from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., following the parade.

Muskoseepi will be humming with activities for the entire family: two live entertainment stages, the legendary Canada Day cake, children’s activities, community displays, and food vendors.

Grande Prairie Museum has an array of activities planned.

The Museum will have complimentary Canada Day Tea provided by David’s Tea and freshly popped Kettle Corn. Authentic Heritage Carnival games and live musical entertainment by Steel Stilettos and live on-site Culture & Heritage demos, including: blacksmithing, butter churning, ice cream making and bannock baking.

 

Where can I park?

Please remember there will be absolutely NO PARKING available in Muskoseepi Park on Canada Day. Gates will be closed at 4 p.m. on June 30th and reopen at 7:30 p.m. on July 1st.

Parking is available in designated street areas or in public parking lots within the downtown core.

Pickup at GPRC Parking Lot A, drops at Muskoseepi Park & Centre 2000
