Open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and 10:00-4:00 Saturday. They are Closed Sundays, Long Weekends, and Stat Holidays. Built in 1925, Melsness Mercantile is located in the heart of Valhalla Centre and has been declared a Provincial Historic Resource. The Mercantile site is now home to the Mercantile Cafe, featuring daily specials; the Heritage Room, which is a museum that pays tribute to the area's Scandinavian Heritage; a Craft Corner, that allows local artisans to display and sell their wares; the Norwegian gift shop; and outside you will find the Valhalla Troll Park.
