Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association is currently seeking donations of promotional products for information bag requests to be received throughout the 2015 calendar year.
Each year the GPRTA accepts many requests to provide information kits to newcomers to the region, sporting events, hotels, trade shows and much more. Depending on the nature of the request these kits typically include: a current map of the city/region, copies of the Community Connections quarterly magazine, the Grande Prairie and Region Guide, sticky notes, pens, t-shirts and any other giveaway type products we have available at the time all bundled up in a reusable shopping bag.
In 2014, we received more than 50 requests for info bags totaling approximately 3000 kits thus far. Some of the requests we were able to accommodate this year included:
The Grande Prairie Public School District (Exchange students from Columbia coming to Grande Prairie to study for the 2014/2015 school year)
The RCMP (New members and their families who are being relocated to the area for work)
The Peace Country Classic Agricultural Show (for tradeshow attendees)
The PARDS Annual Fund Ride (for attendees)
As the calendar year is drawing to a close we find our stock of freebies and giveaways is looking pretty meager and so we are appealing to the generous members of our community for any potential new items to restock us for the coming year. We anticipate receiving just as many if not more requests in 2015 due to the increasing popularity of these kits and we would love to have the option to mix things up a little bit and include a variety of fun new items. We are requesting donations of any form of promotional product, with or without company names/logos that we can include in these kits. Some possibilities might include:
Ball caps, T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Hoodies, Windbreakers and other attire
Gift Certificates, Coupons, Discount Cards etc. (preferably with no expiry date)
Key chains, lanyards, miniature healthcare items (sanitizer, glass cleaner, first aid kits)
Water bottles, no-spill travel coffee mugs, notebooks, binders, unique trinkets
We are especially in search of kid friendly items for students and youth
Please contact the front desk at (780)539-7688 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss any potential contribution you would like to consider. Contributions in any quantity are greatly appreciated, every little bit helps!
