Events CANADA DAY! July 1st starts celebrating Canada day with a parade, moving to family activities in Muskoseepi Park and concluding with evening fireworks! Memory Lane Walking Tours In celebration of the City of Grande Prairie’s 100th Anniversary, take a walk down Memory Lane and experience over 50 points of interest depicting the history of Downtown Grande Prairie from 1914-2014! Mon-Wed guided tours, 1:30-3:30pm Grande Prairie Cemetery Historical Walking Tour Call the South Peace Regional Archives at 780-830-5105 to register. Limit of 20 participants. Meet at the Grande Prairie Cemetery, 11101 84 Avenue. July 16th, at 7:00 pm Rotary City Bus Tour Grande Prairie Rotary Club´s FREE one and half an hour bus tour of the City and Country every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening, June to August. Bus leaves 7pm Sharp from Centre 2000/ Visitor’s information centre. Meet & Greet BBQ Centre 2000 will be hosting a FREE BBQ to visitors. Locals are asked to pay a donation. Come enjoy our delicious BBQ, as well as our friendly staff. Every Wednesday 4-6pm |

Currently taking place in five locations across the Prairies/NWT Region. Teams comprising a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 (three members MUST be female). Each team is required to raise a minimum amount of $1500. Located in South Bear Creek Ball Diamonds. Entertainment East Coast Garden Party This family event gives kids under 12 free entry and hosts an energetic line up for the parents and a kid zone with performers and activities to make everyone bounce around! July 18-19th, 4pm-11:30pm 100 Years of Transport, Downtown Car Show A reflection of the transportation over the last 100 years, including dog sleds, car and trucks from different eras, highway haulers, and tractors. July 26th, 10am-5pm Teepee Creek Stampede The Teepee Creek Stampede has been a proud tradition in the north since 1917, making them one of Canada’s oldest running rodeos. Friday and Saturday night, rodeo dances and cowboy cabarets take place under the wagon tarp. It has been described as “a little western” but it is always a good time.
