Canada Day celebrations are happening at Muskoseepi Park, the Grande Prairie Museum, and Centre 2000!

Annual Rycroft Chuckwagon Races
July 4 - 7
For the eighth consecutive year, the Western Chuckwagon Association and All Pro Chuckwagon Association will be back tearing up the track in Rycroft, Alberta. The Rycroft Ag Society offers you four days of exciting thoroughbred and pony chuckwagon races.

97th Annual Teepee Creek Stampede

“Four Days in the Wild”

Checkered Owl Jazz Festival

County Historic Cemeteries Walking Tour

South Peace Centennial Museum
Pioneer Days July 20-21
During the weekend you can see the log planner, bundle threshing, plowing, blacksmithing, wheelwright, and horse drawn wagon rides. Other heritage demonstrations include soap making, heritage crafts, rope making, wool carding, lard rendering, clay oven baking, and milk separating. Pioneer Days also features musical entertainment by local musicians, log sawing and planning, shingle making, grist mill (grinding wheat to flour), morning breakfast, food booth, popcorn, and ice-cream cones

Every Friday join the SPCM for a home cooked ethnic lunch from 11:30-1:30, and on Tuesdays join them for home cooked suppers from 5:30-7:30. 10$ a plate and all proceeds go to museum projects.

Join Grande Prairie Regional Tourism for our summer events at the visitors centre. We have a bison BBQ every Wednesday and Rotary bus tours on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.
Remember these are free events for visitors so come on in to Centre 2000 and see some of the wonderful this great city has to offer to its visitors
