Things to Do

Beaverlodge Art & Culture Centre

Set within the walls of the former 1937 Beaverlodge Hospital, the Beaverlodge Art & Culture Centre has been thoughtfully transformed into a lively gathering place that celebrates the region’s creativity, culture, and community connection. Visitors can explore two main-floor galleries featuring rotating exhibitions, browse the gift shop filled with work from local artists and craftspeople, and relax in the charming tea room—highlighted by its beautiful stained glass wall. The McNaught Room honours the legacy of renowned local artist Euphemia McNaught, preserving her story and contributions to Peace Country art. Across the building, creativity is always in motion: potters and weavers enjoy spacious studios on the lower floor, while the upstairs hosts working artists who bring the centre to life. As a proud cultural landmark, the Beaverlodge Art & Culture Centre respectfully acknowledges its place on the traditional territory of Treaty 8 First Nations and Métis peoples. Whether you’re an art lover, a history enthusiast, or simply exploring the region, this welcoming centre invites you to experience authentic local talent and the vibrant cultural heartbeat of Beaverlodge.
