Broken Tine Orchard

Nestled just outside Beaverlodge, Broken Tine Orchard blends four generations of Peace Country farming with a passion for crafting one-of-a-kind wines. What began as a traditional 2,300-acre family farm—growing canola, wheat, and barley—evolved into something extraordinary when the Alde family planted their first haskap berries in 2012. Known as a true super fruit and rich in antioxidants, the vibrant haskap became the heart of their winemaking journey. With the expertise of winemaker Dominic Ravard, Broken Tine now produces exceptional cottage wines that pair the bold, tangy character of haskap berries with honey harvested directly from the farm’s own beehives. The result is a uniquely local expression of flavour, craftsmanship, and agricultural pride. Visitors to the orchard can experience an authentic taste of the region—where tradition, innovation, and the spirit of Peace Country come together in every bottle. During July the orchard is open to the public for Upick, wine tastings, and tours.
