Go where only the river can take you. The walk down into the canyon is a steep, winding path. You breathe deeply, and the air smells amazing. The wind blows softly. You started at the base in Grande Cache, where you were quickly outfitted with everything — good gear, ready for the river. After a short ride, the bus stopped in a small forest clearing. You stepped out, and the canyon unfolded at your feet. Now, you stand at the river’s edge. The guides check everyone’s gear. After the safety talk, you feel well-prepped, but now it’s real.
