Demmit Campground
Demmitt Campground is a peaceful, no-frills campground ideal for travellers looking for a convenient overnight stop or a quiet place to unwind. Located northwest of Hythe, just off Highway 43 near the Alberta–B.C. border and across from the traffic weigh scales, the campground is well positioned for those continuing farther north or west.
Open seasonally from May 15 to October 15, Demmitt Campground offers 15 treed sites suitable for overnight stays or day use. While there are no hook-ups, campers can enjoy essential amenities including outdoor restrooms, fire pits, and free firewood, which is delivered by the onsite caretaker upon request.
With its shaded sites and straightforward facilities, Demmitt Campground provides a calm, practical camping experience — perfect for road-trippers, hunters, or anyone seeking a restful stop along the highway.
